Built in 1990, with an overall length of 89.35 m and reaching 17 knots, the Galapagos Explorer II is one of the most elegant of the vessels cruising the Galapagos’ waters.

The M/V Galapagos Explorer II is designed to provide comfort and scientific information to 100 passengers visiting the Galapagos National Park. It operation is emphasized with interesting itineraries that offer the best of this pristine paradise. Expert naturalist guides will offer an environmentally friendly and educational cruise focused in the Natural History of the Galapagos.

The M/N GALAPAGOS EXPLORER II was part of the International Cruise Line “Renaissance” and operate in the Galapagos Islands since February 1998.  It is not only a vessel adapted to the eco-tourism operations that provides environmental education and interpretation on the Galapagos, it also has all the installations  and necessary services to guarantee guided experiences on the islands

Facilities on board:  50 suites, Boutique, Library, Piano Bar, Conference Room, Restaurant, Solarium, Elevator, Jacuzzi, Spa Service, Tea Station, Reading Station, Medical Assistance, Satellite communication, Glass Bottom Boat.

Occasional Diving: With the current 7 nights itinerary, the cruise can offer diving programs on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday 4 divers minimum. Actual dive sites will be determined on the day. The dives will be offered instead of the normal land visit. All diving is provided by a local dive shop in Galapagos. It is suggested that all divers have sufficient experience with at least 20 logged dives or advanced dive certification due to strong currents, cold water, thermo-clines and large marine life. The Galapagos National Park regulations require that all guests bring the dive certification card for verification of your dive training and experience.
